If you use Windows(R) XP or 2000 Professional, you must perform the following procedures in order to safely remove the USB devices including the DVDCAM. If you do not perform the procedure, you may lose your recorded movies and still pictures.| 1. | Click the icon on the Taskbar. | |
| 2. | Click Safely remove Hitachi DVDCAM USB HS Interface. |
| 3. | When the dialog box shown right appears, select  Hitachi DVD CAMERA USB Interface, and then click the Stop button. |

| 4. | When the dialog box shown right appears, select Hitachi DVD CAMERA USB Interface, and then click OK. |

| 5. | When Hitachi DVD CAMERA USB Interface and  Hitachi DVD CAMERA SCSI Interface disappear, click the Close button. |

| 6. | Unplug the PC connection cable from both the PC and the DZ-MV100/200/208/230/238/270. | |
| 7. | If you use the DZ-MV100, power off the DZ-MV100, and then power on. |
